PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
"Using Drones in Photography" is designed to introduce photographers to the expanding world of drone technology. This session will cover the essentials of integrating drones into your photography workflow, including equipment selection, understanding FAA regulations, and capturing stunning aerial images. We will explore practical techniques for both real estate and artistic applications, providing insights into how drones can enhance your creative capabilities and offer new perspectives.
Participants will learn about:
- Equipment Basics: Understanding different types of drones and selecting the right one for your needs.
- Regulations and Safety: Navigating FAA rules and ensuring safe operation.
- Photography Techniques: Capturing high-quality images and videos from unique aerial perspectives.
- Practical Applications: Using drones in real estate photography, landscape photography, and more.
- Show and Tell: Display and discuss the features and capabilities of two drones, providing a hands-on look without live flying demonstrations.

JONATHAN LEE
Jonathan Lee is a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and the current President of the Jacksonville Professional Photographer's Guild. Based in Green Cove Springs, FL, Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in capturing the essence of residential and commercial properties through his real estate and architectural photography. He is known for his technical expertise and vibrant, punchy photography style, which he aims to perfect in-camera.
Jonathan's passion for photography began with a fascination for the blend of technology and art, leading him to become a self-taught master in the field. His dedication and skill have earned him notable accolades, including the Image Excellence Awards from PPA for his celebrated photographs "Sunrise at Horseshoe Bend" and "Five Minutes in Chicago."
As an influential member of the photography community, Jonathan actively contributes by leading the Jacksonville Professional Photographer's Guild and running a popular YouTube channel where he shares his knowledge and experience. He is also scheduled to be an upcoming speaker at Imaging USA 2025 in Dallas, TX, where he will teach a class on starting a successful real estate photography business.
